Karnataka CM Calls Urgent Meeting on Rameshwaram Café Blast
Bengaluru, March 2: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to convene a crucial meeting today at 1 pm with senior police officers, including DGP Alok Mohan and Bengaluru Police Commissioner Dayanand, at his home office Krishna. The meeting aims to address the recent blast that occurred at the popular Rameshwaram café.
The bustling eatery, well-known for its delectable offerings and frequented by celebrities, was rocked by an explosion on Friday, resulting in injuries to nine individuals. Preliminary investigations suggest the use of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) by the miscreant responsible.
Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that the police are diligently exploring all possible angles, including the potential motive of a grudge by competitors. So far, no organization has claimed responsibility for the blast.
Media outlets have aired CCTV footage capturing a person of interest near the café. The individual, wearing a cap and goggles, was observed walking on the nearby streets.
In a recent update, it has been reported that the police have taken four suspects into custody, and inquiries are currently underway. Further details on this development are yet to emerge. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has collected bomb samples, intensifying efforts to gather more information on the materials used in the blast.
